Forest Hill Stone House

Bold planes of Indiana limestone and glass create a poetic composition on the front façade of this new four bedroom residence in Forest Hill.

The 8,300 square foot house nestles behind a front garden that continues the landscaped zone along the length of the road. Inside, a feature staircase is surmounted by a skylight that washes natural light down into the centre of the house. Across the back, a generous family room opens at one end onto a covered outdoor fireplace “room” and at the other end to a generous eat-in kitchen. 11 foot high ceilings contribute to the sense of openness that carries throughout the house.

On the second floor, the main hall overlooks the double height space of the front entry. The four bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathroom, and the generously scaled master bedroom has his and her walk-in-closets and a private patio overlooking the backyard
